Altnagelvin 4.17% over capacity but COVID-19 occupancy is 2.98% and no new SARs-CoV-2 admissions

There have been no new COVID-19 admissions to Altnagelvin.

At midnight on Thursday 20 people were being treated as coronavirus inpatients across all Western Trust hospitals.

Two of 10 (20%) ICU beds at Altnagelvin were being used to treat COVID-19 patients; four (40%) were occupied by patients with other conditions and four (40%) were free.

Two ICU patients in total were being ventilated - one was a COVID-19 patient and one was a non-COVID-19 patient.

In terms of general occupancy 2.98% of beds at Altnagelvin were ‘COVID-19 occupied’, 89.58% were ‘other occupied’ and the hospital was 4.17% over capacity; 7.44% were ‘awaiting admission.’

There have been no further deaths.
