Derry COVID-19 rate falls to 103.5 cases per 100,000

Between April 16 and April 22, there were 156 cases giving a seven day rate of 103.5 cases, down from 110.2 yesterday.

The rate in Derry and Strabane is still the highest in the north by a distance.

Ards and North Down (16.8), Lisburn and Castlereagh (18.6), Antrim and Newtownabbey (20.3), Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (23.4), Mid and East Antrim (27.4), Causeway Coast and Glens (33.3), Belfast (36.6), Fermanagh and Omagh (44.5), Newry, Mourne and Down (46.6) and Mid Ulster (58.3) all have lower rates than Derry/Strabane.

The average rate for the north is 39.1.

Derry COVID-19 positivity rises again to 8.7% and is highest in the north

The daily change in the cumulative number of patients with a positive test in Derry and Strabane between April 21 and April 22 was 11.

In total 12,109 people have now tested positive for the illness in Derry and Strabane.

Altnagelvin has 3.63% capacity to spare while total COVID-19 occupancy at Derry hospital is just 2.42%

In sum 120,589 vaccine doses have now been administered at the three mass vaccination centres in Derry, Omagh and Enniskillen.

Across the north GPs have rolled out 527,453 jabs. In total 1,221,153 vaccines have now been administered at PHA centres and by GPs in the six counties.
