Man in hospital after serious assault in Derry alleyway

A man has been hospitalised after being attacked in a Derry alleyway in the early hours of this morning.

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following the report of the serious assault in an alleyway in Stoneburn Place in Currynierin.

At approximately 2.40am police received a report that a man had been attacked and received injuries to his head, neck, arm and leg.

He has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries. He remains in hospital at this time.
