Two men rescued from water at Malin Head

Two men were rescued from the water at Malin Head this evening, Thursday, after getting into difficulty.

The Coastguard helicopter, Greencastle Coastguard, Gardai and the ambulance service attended the scene at Slievebawn, Malin Head at approximately 6.30pm after being tasked by the Malin Head Coastguard.

Gardai confirmed to the Journal that one of the males (40s) was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital as a precaution
